Can I Still Use My Campus Network Account After Graduation?
Answering questions for Shantou University graduates about the use of their campus network accounts after graduation, especially regarding the retention and use of alumni email.
TLDR; Only the email account remains usable, but the address changes:

During your time at the university, your campus network account is your credential for accessing the internet and various internal resource platforms. After graduation, all permissions for the campus network account will be revoked, and you will no longer be able to access any services. The only exception is your email. Your student email [email protected]
will be converted to an alumni email [email protected]
. You can use this new email address with your original campus network password to access your old emails. Of course, you can also continue to use this email to send and receive messages.
The process of revoking permissions and converting to an alumni email is completed in August each year. In June, the Information and Network Center will issue an OA notice to inform graduates about the upcoming changes and remind them to back up their data from OneDrive.
